The Parent and Grandparent Program opens January each year with cap of 10,000 complete applications.
 
You are a Parent - if you are a mother or a father of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident. 
​
You are Grandparent - if you are a parent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident father or mother; a grandmother or grandfather.
